Due to our continuous growth, we are looking for:

Responsibilities

● Implementing a framework for databases, tuning the different installations in correlation with the different application needs and load. Defining the necessary housekeeping mechanism, including and not limited to backup, restore, indexing, etc.
● Analyzing database schema, identifying patterns and troubleshooting of functional queries, long queries, locks. Work closely with the different development teams and the different software providers to improve efficiency of the hosted solutions.
● Migration of existing system from on premise to cloud environment, utilizing ETL tools to facilitate data migration while ensuring data quality. Conduct testing and validation of data post-migration to confirm accuracy and integrity of data.
● Monitoring of Database servers and setting up the thresholds and alerts
● Responsible for the failover of solutions and continuity of the application availability
● Quickly resolve issues and minimize impact on end-user productivity and overall organization in collaboration with stakeholders
● Maintaining detailed documentation of system configuration, procedures and incidents for future references

About you

● At least 3+ years of working experience in Database administrator position with strong focus on PostgreSQL
● Strong understanding of database architecture and design
● Proficiency in SQL and database scripting
● Experience with database tuning and optimization
● Experience with backup and recovery processes
● Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
● Experience with database upgrades and patches
● Familiarity with database tools and technologies
● Familiarity with monitoring and performance metrics
● Ability to develop and maintain database documentation
● Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies
● Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
● Readiness to learn and adopt new technologies, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality
● Excellent communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles
● Fluent in English

It would be a plus to have

● Knowledge and experience of the MsSQL is a plus
● Knowledge of AWS RDS system
● Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles
